Colorado Mom and Cancer Survivor Killed in Tragic Shooting

Jennifer James, a 49-year-old single mother of four and four-time cancer survivor, was tragically killed on April 28, 2025, when bullets were fired through her window in Berthoud, Colorado. She was undergoing chemotherapy at the time.

Despite being shot in the arm and chest, she managed to call 911 before collapsing. Authorities later arrested 20-year-old Ebenezer Worku, who admitted to accidentally firing the weapon and was charged with first-degree murder.

Jennifer, described as selfless and resilient, had battled cancer for nearly 20 years. Her death has left the small community devastated, as they remember her courage, love for her children, and unwavering strength.
