Patti Scialfa, Bruce Springsteen’s wife and longtime E Street Band member, has revealed she’s been privately battling multiple myeloma since 2018. The diagnosis has impacted her immune system and forced her to scale back from touring.
Though her stage time is limited, Scialfa still joins Springsteen for select performances and is currently focused on her solo album and spending time with her granddaughter, Lily.
Meanwhile, Springsteen himself has faced serious health struggles, including peptic ulcer disease and vocal issues, which have caused multiple tour postponements.
