SENATOR SENTENCED TO 11 YEARS, BLAMES “CORRUPTED” SYSTEM AND PRAISES TRUMP

Former Senator Bob Menendez has been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison after being convicted of bribery, corruption, and acting on behalf of Egypt — a historic first for a U.S. official.

Outside court, Menendez slammed the justice system as “political” and “corrupted to the core,” saying, “President Trump was right.”

Once a powerful Washington figure, Menendez’s fall marks a dramatic end to a long political career. Despite his claims of innocence, prosecutors proved he exchanged political favors for luxury gifts.

When asked about a Trump pardon, Menendez declined to comment.
