Florida Hairstylist Fatally Stabbed in Parking Garage—Suspect Confesses

Tragedy struck Sunrise, Florida, on May 28 when 27-year-old hairstylist and yoga retreat leader Hailey Hosford was brutally stabbed to death in a parking garage just before heading home.

Surveillance captured 21-year-old Jackson Julian Sagesse Jr. ambushing Hosford at her car, forcing the door open and stabbing her multiple times. A male friend was also stabbed in the throat while trying to save her but survived and alerted police.

Hosford was pronounced dead at 2:01 a.m. Sagesse was arrested nearby and chillingly confessed: “I just killed someone and walked away.” Two steak knives tied to his kitchen set were recovered.

Friends remember Hosford as a bright light in their lives. “We lost the good,” said her friend Aubrey Rosebrock. A GoFundMe has raised over $14,500 for her funeral.
