Federal authorities have arrested Alejandro Theodoro Orellana in Los Angeles, accusing him of coordinating anti-ICE protests by distributing protective gear, including specialized face shields. Prosecutors say surveillance footage shows Orellana behind the wheel of a truck supplying protesters, signaling an organized effort behind the demonstrations.
U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli says the riots were “well-funded and orchestrated,” and that authorities are targeting the networks behind the unrest, not just individuals. The FBI has also named another suspect, Elpidio Reyna, wanted for throwing bricks at federal officers.
The arrest comes as 2,000 National Guard troops are deployed to L.A., and DHS vows that immigration enforcement will continue despite the protests. Officials suggest more arrests are likely as the federal probe deepens.
