Donald Trump calls Texas flash flood “Biden setup”

Devastating floods in Texas have claimed at least 80 lives, including 27 girls and staff at Camp Mystic. The Guadalupe River rose 26 feet in just 45 minutes over the Fourth of July weekend after record-breaking rainfall.

Blame is swirling. Critics point to earlier cuts to the National Weather Service (NWS) under President Trump, but Trump denies any responsibility, calling it a “Biden setup.” He also said the storm was unpredictable, despite warnings from meteorologists.

Experts say forecasts were accurate but communication failed in the “last mile.” The local NWS office lacked key leadership positions, raising concerns about preparedness.

As searches continue for the missing, officials are urging prayers and privacy for victims’ families.
