‘Walker, Texas Ranger’ and ‘Dallas’ Legend Dead at 88

Hollywood director Michael Preece, best known for his work on Walker, Texas Ranger and Dallas, has died at age 88 from heart failure at his Los Angeles home. Starting his career in the 1950s as a script supervisor, he worked on classics like True Grit, How the West Was Won, and I Spy before transitioning to directing in the 1970s.

Preece directed 70 episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger and 62 of Dallas, along with episodes of Baywatch, MacGyver, 7th Heaven, and more. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
