DHS conducted a surprise Los Angeles raid Wednesday, arresting 16 undocumented immigrants linked to MS-13 gang activity near MacArthur Park. The operation, called “Operation Trojan Horse,” involved agents emerging from a moving truck to detain migrants from Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
Despite legal challenges and local protests, federal authorities pushed forward, with officials emphasizing that gang-controlled areas are not exempt from immigration enforcement. The raid follows a similar June operation that sparked clashes between LAPD and demonstrators, highlighting tensions over sanctuary policies and federal immigration actions.
