A 23-year-old transgender shooter, Robin Westman, opened fire during Mass at a Minneapolis Catholic school, killing two children and injuring 17. Survivors described hiding under classmates’ bodies as the gunman stalked the pews.
Westman, whose mother once worked at the school, is also the nephew of former Kentucky GOP lawmaker Bob Heleringer, who called the massacre an “unspeakable tragedy.” Authorities found a manifesto filled with anti-Trump, anti-religious messages and fantasies of targeting children. The FBI is investigating the attack as a hate crime and act of domestic terrorism.
