Beloved Star of ‘Sanford and Son’ and ‘The Waltons’ Dies

Lynn Hamilton, best known as Donna Harris on Sanford and Son, has died at 94.

A pioneering actress, she brought warmth and dignity to roles that helped reshape television in the 1970s.

She also starred in The Waltons, portraying strong, complex characters that broke barriers for Black women on screen.
