COUNTRY MUSIC LEGEND PASSES AWAY AT 85 AFTER YEAR OF HEALTH STRUGGLES

Jeannie Seely, the legendary country music icon, has passed away at the age of 85. She died on Friday, August 1, at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee, from complications related to an intestinal infection, her representative confirmed.

The beloved singer had faced major health struggles throughout 2025, including multiple back and abdominal surgeries, a battle with pneumonia, and time in the ICU. Her passing comes just months after losing her husband, Eugene Ward, to cancer last December.
