MINNEAPOLIS ICU NURSE FACES HORROR AS SCHOOL SHOOTING VICTIMS ARRIVE

Amy Forchas, a pediatric ICU nurse in Minneapolis, was working her shift Wednesday morning when victims of a nearby school shooting began arriving at Hennepin Healthcare — including her 12-year-old daughter, Sophia, who was critically wounded. The attack at Annunciation Catholic School and Church killed two children and injured 17 others.

As Amy treated the terrified children, she also faced the personal horror of her own family being affected. Sophia underwent emergency surgery in the ICU, while her younger brother, though physically unharmed, now struggles with the trauma of witnessing the attack.
