Pressure mounts to strip Harry and Meghan of royal titles following explosive interview

Prince Harry lost his appeal to restore UK police protection, a decision he previously claimed kept his wife and children from visiting Britain due to safety concerns. Following the ruling, he told the BBC he was the victim of an “Establishment stitch-up” and that his father “won’t speak to me.” He also accused the Royal Household of interfering in the case, expressing shock that two senior royals were on the security committee and asked the Home Secretary to investigate.

A government spokesman clarified that protective security decisions are made by Ravec, not the Home Secretary. Harry’s comments triggered public backlash, with calls—including from Piers Morgan—for King Charles to strip him and Meghan of their titles. Palace insiders said Harry’s remarks about his father’s health may deepen the rift.

The BBC admitted it failed to challenge Harry’s claims during the interview, calling it a lapse in editorial standards. A public poll showed greater support for King Charles than for Harry.
