Pope Francis’ $500k Popemobile To Fulfill His Final Wish — Here’s What Will Happen To It Now

Pope Francis has died at 88, leaving behind not only a legacy of compassion and reform but also a bold final act of charity. Known for his advocacy on climate change and technology, he often chose humble transport, favoring an electric Popemobile or a Fiat 500 over luxury.

Before his death, he asked that his all-electric Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen Popemobile be converted into a mobile clinic for children in Gaza. The \$500,000 vehicle will now serve as a field ambulance, equipped with life-saving medical tools, staffed by doctors, and operated by Caritas Jerusalem.

It’s a powerful final gesture—turning a symbol of papal authority into one of healing and hope.
