NFL MOURNS COLTS OWNER DEAD AT 65

Jim Irsay, longtime Indianapolis Colts owner and CEO, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 21, 2025. No cause of death has been disclosed.

Irsay began working with the Colts at a young age, became the NFL’s youngest general manager at 24, and took over as owner in 1997. Under his leadership, the Colts won Super Bowl XLI.

He was also a passionate mental health advocate, founding the “Kicking the Stigma” initiative and openly sharing his own recovery journey.

He is survived by his three daughters, who are expected to carry on his legacy.
