The Mountain’s wife answers question everyone keeps asking

Hafþór “Thor” Björnsson, famous for his role as “The Mountain” on Game of Thrones and his impressive strength, continues to captivate fans with his loving relationship with his much shorter wife, Kelsey. Standing at 6’9″ and weighing over 400 pounds, Hafþór is a former World’s Strongest Man. Despite his imposing presence, it’s his warm dynamic with Kelsey that draws attention.

Hafþór, who also ventured into acting with roles in Game of Thrones and The Northman, met Kelsey in 2017 during a Strongman event in Canada. The couple’s romance blossomed quickly, despite their 19-inch height difference, and they married in 2018. In 2020, they welcomed their son, Stormur.

Tragically, in November 2023, they shared the heartbreaking loss of their baby daughter, Grace, at 21.5 weeks gestation. Despite the grief, they continue to support each other through their journey.

Fans frequently ask how the couple manages the height difference, and in a playful Q&A, Kelsey shared, “Ah, he bends, I tiptoe. Or just say screw it, pick me up!” Their humor and love prove that no matter the challenges, their bond remains strong.
